  Christmas mass, 12:00 PM, 2016. For the record, I'm not a Catholic anymore. But even if I were, not a moment of the experience wouldn't have been distracted by monitoring my disabled father out of the corner of my eye. So I wasn't paying much attention to the sermon: It involved something about beating swords into plowshares and plowshares into swords. Then the line, "... and every day, abortionists are killing a supply of thousands of babies, keeping them from this world ..." slammed into me. Um ... excuse me?! This is your Christmas sermon? So I started paying semi-attention. I didn't hear Christ's birth mentioned once. But I did discern, by the end of the sermon, that it was all about peace. Good to know.
